For some, remembering Donna Summer means to recall the disco era. And while her hits include such staples of the time such as ``Love To Love You Baby,'' ``I Feel Love'' and ``Last Dance,'' her catalog of music reflected musical sensibilities that went beyond just the pulsating sound of disco. On one of her hits, ``Enough Is Enough,'' she teamed up with Barbra Streisand _ and more than held her own. In her autobiography, she wrote how she passed out while trying to hold a long note during the recording session _ which took place the morning after a long night. She covered the rock classic: ``McArthur Park'' and her soaring vocals elevated the song to another level up from the original. And ``She Works Hard for the Money'' served as an empowerment anthem for women. And it was because of her effect on the music scene that people from President Barack Obama to Aretha Franklin and Barbra Streisand publicly mourned her death.
