Oprah Talks Scandal:

I can not wait to see this, I WILL be watching...

Guess who's going to be on Oprah? It's Kerry Washington, Shonda Rhimes, creater and mastermind of Scandal, Private Practice & Grey's Anatomy and the Crisis Management Expert Judy Smith. AND THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT SCANDAL... I can't wait.

With Django Unchained set for a holiday release and her "Scandal" series still making conversation at water coolers across the country , Kerry Washington sat down wiht Oprah  Winfrey for "Oprah's Next Chapter" recently.  She talked to Oprah about the significance of being the first Black lead actress on a primetime show since Diahann Carroll on "Julia" (almost four decades ago) and Kerry also comments on her vision for her career, all of her leading men and how Django Unchained changed her life.

I can't wait. Oprah's next chapter is on this Sunday at 9pm est.

Gabby Douglas and her new book...

Gabby has been busy and she wants everyone to call her Gabrielle now. She has a new book she's promoting called, "Grace, Gold & Glory." Sounds like a must read. She was spotted heading to be on Good Morning America a few days ago and the book talks about her growing up in Virginia, her dead beat dad and dealing with racism.

God bless her little heart...

The Mid South Food Bank needs OUR help...

The Food Bank is having a food crisis and I learned today that they have been in crisis mode for 3 years now and they really need our help. Anna Marie Hartman and Dave Brown were out today for the Action New's 5 Holiday Food Drive 2012 at the Walmart on Hwy 64 and I joined them to broadcast live on V101.

Chip Washington with the Shelby County Sheriff's office joined us to help bring in the crowds of people that came out to donate to the Mid South Food Bank today. They still need your help, so if you can go to www.midsouthfoodbank.org and help them by making a monetary donation today.

Happy Holidays and thank you for donating and for listening to our Clear Channel Stations.
