Oprah lands the interview:

Looks like Bobbi Kristina is going to give her first interview to Oprah...

Winfrey’s last interview with late singing icon Whitney Houston was an elegant affair and indeed one of the embattled star’s finest hours in her later years. So it would be only fitting and proper that the first interview given by Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and brother Gary Houston would go to the equally iconic talk show host. I knew it would happen, just not so soon.

On Friday it was announced that Winfrey will sit down this coming week with Houston’s family members to remember the singer’s legacy and death and the controversy surrounding it. The interview will air March 11, one month to the day that Houston’s lifeless body was found in a Beverly Hills hotel bathtub.

The interview is scheduled for the same day as Bobbi Kristina's birthday. Rest in love Whitney Houston.

And Whitney is making history...

Whitney Houston is the first woman in history to have three albums in the top 10  on the Billboard 200 chart. Currently sitting at number two is Whitney: The  Greatest Hits. The Bodyguard soundtrack is at number six, and  her debut album, Whitney Houston, sits comfortably at number nine.

Beyonce is making breastfeeding advocates happy...

Beyonce scored big points with nursing moms and breastfeeding advocates last week when she was spotted breastfeeding her 7-week-old daughter, Blue Ivy -- in public!

What's the big deal, you say?  Women breastfeed all of the time, right?  Why should Beyonce get such attention?

Unfortunately, even though women are continuously told by pediatricians and health experts that "breast is best," they are still many times shunned and humiliated when trying the breastfeed their children in public.

Way to go Beyonce...

Martin Lawrence is returning to TV...

Television network CBS  has reportedly picked up a new comedy pilot staring the former sitcom actor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he’s set to play the role of a widower and father of two teens. After losing his construction job, he decides to enroll into the police academy to become a cop at the age of 46.  I’m already chucking thinking about how that scenario might play out.

If Lawrence’s show is picked up, this would be his first return to television since his hit show “Martin” ended in 1997.

Janet Jackson says no to Simon Cowell...

Janet Jackson, Pink, Katy Perry, Fergie, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne -- the reported candidates for the two open judges' spots on Fox's "The X Factor" keep rolling in. But one of those artists apparently isn't interested: Jackson has taken herself out of the running.

The singer tells TheInsider.com that she's "very flattered     that X Factor let me know that I was being considered for next     season, but it just wouldn't be possible."

Octavia Spencer says I'm not Sherri Shepherd...

They're both beautiful plus-sized beauties with a great sense of humor, but the  similarities between Oscar winner Octavia Spencer and The View co-host  Sherri Shepherd might end there. Try telling that to Hollywood.

Tired of  people in the industry mistaking her for Shepherd, Spencer took to Twitter to  make a humorous declaration: "Dear Hollywood: Sherri Shepherd And Octavia  Spencer Are Not The Same Person but we are dear friends, LOL," she  tweeted.

Earlier in the week Shepherd recalled several people stopping  her on the red carpet to ask if she thought she would win an Oscar for The  Help. "They thought I was Octavia Spencer," she said on The View.
